There are a few important differences.  First, our tutoring programs are designed for one-on-one instruction, as opposed to traditional learning centers which are comprised of group lessons.  However, we do offer group programs by request.

 We will work with current classroom assignments and prepare for upcoming tests.

Flexible lesson plans are designed around a variety of programs.  The programs do not dictate the lesson plans.

Most importantly, traditional centers often do not use the same instructor session to session.  We believe  it is much more beneficial to work with the same instructor each lesson.  A strong rapport with an instructor is essential for ongoing assessment of a child's progress and the instructor's ability to tailor each lesson for each individual student.

There are no qualifications necessary to be a tutor.  However, we strongly believe that tutors should be experienced and certified teachers in the specific areas that they are teaching.

Testing is very valuable.  In addition to formal testing, teachers are trained to also diagnose learning through other appropriate means.  This allows each lesson to be tailor-made to the specific needs of each student that may appear at any time while learning new skills.

No.  There is no contract requirement.  We do have a policy requiring each month's payment in advance.  A copy of our office policy is available upon request.

After school tutoring is only available in our office.  Other options are available for Home Schoolers.

After School Hours of Operation:

Monday - Thursday   2:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Friday                          2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Home School

Monday - Friday        9:00 am - 1:30 pm

$25 / half hour

$35 / 45 minutes

$45 / hour

There is a minimum requirement of at least two sessions a week.
